Hierarchy Panel

  • Click on the hierarchy button in the toolbar to open the hierarchy panel.

  • From this panel you can see a list of all the objects currently present in the scene.

  • Double click on any object in the list to focus on it.

  • With the object selected, click once to rename it.

  • Hold Shift and click on multiple objects to select many of them at the same time (so you can delete them or move them or edit their properties at once.

  • You can drag an object under another to make it a child of the other object. This way if you move the parent, the child under it moves as well.

  • You can click on the folder icon in the top right angle and create a folder that you can drag other objects under for organizational purposes (like grouping all objects related to a certain town together for example)

HINT 1: Think of parenting objects in this scenario: Imagine a Car body as the parent, the children will be the tires, the head lights and the break lights and an engine sound entity for example. While they are of different types (Mesh, Audio, Lights) they are all child components of a parent car, and if you move the parent car object they should all logically follow it and move with it.

HINT 2: You can use the search bar on top to search for a specific object by name.
