Managing Projects

VIDEO:

INSTRUCTIONS:

When you click on the "DEVELOP" button in the main menu or on the top nav bar. You will see this projects screen:

Here you can perform the following:

  • Create New Projects through the + button in the top left of the panel

  • Open Existing Projects

  • Test Projects

  • Rename Projects

  • Duplicate Projects

  • Delete Projects

CREATE NEW PROJECTS:

When you click on the + button you will be presented with a New Project wizard made up of multiple steps.

Note: All of these can be edited later at any point from the levels screen.

1- CATEGORY:

Here you can define the overall category for your project. Please note that this is just for classification purposes for when you later publish your product to the Discover Store built in Creadev. The actual development and creation process is the same between all of these categories.

2- GENERAL:

Here you can enter your project's title, set its mode (Single player for now but Multiplayer will be added later), age rating (defines if there is blood showing or not), and a business model (Free or Premium).

3- THEME:

Select a (Default theme) for your project. Themes include content such as (Buildings, Characters, Music, Fonts, Animations and Items) for that particular theme. You can mix and match themes at any point, so for example you can have pirates fighting robots if you wanted.

4- CAMERA:

Select a camera perspective for your project (Note you can change it at any time in the level). These are popular camera perspectives that you can adjust later.

5- VISUAL STYLE:

Here you can define the visual art style for your project. It is recommended that you start with STANDARD and change it later in the level, but in general you can make your project look retro, artisitc, stylized or cell shaded to make it look unique and standout.

6- GAMEPLAY:

From this screen you can define one or more genres that make up your game. You can select top level genres or click on any of them to show a list of the gameplay mechanics that define those genres so you can mix and match between them.
